another thing that makes psych an outlier is that the writers were like ‘the main character is smart. like ridiculously smart. hes on the national security watch list and he’s one of the good guys. he could win any poker game he enters. he could be a millionaire. billionaire. if he used his powers for evil he could overtake a small country in a forenight and never be caught. but he doesn’t bc he has too much fun running around santa barbara being silly and solving crimes’
